Guest post you don't want to miss

Today I am thrilled to host the first ever blog swap at It's Toile Good!  Today I have the distinct pleasure of introducing Angie, from The Country Chic Cottage!  I love her chic, yet affordable projects and have no doubt you will be inspired!  So enough of my chatter...read on and enjoy!  Thanks Angie!

Hello all!!  I am Angie from The Country Chic Cottage!Y'all stop by fo some crafting, transformations, decorating, tutorials...all while on a tight budget!

The Country Chic Cottage

Okay I must admit I love paper ephemera!  I have tons in my etsy shop and I am having a map party Friday November 5th!
Y'all be sure to be there with all of your ideas or to pick up some new ones!
My guest post today is not maptastic but could easily be made with maps.  I made some dictionary napkin rings...
Awesome right?  All you need is a vintage dictionary page, some contact paper, ribbon, and hot glue.
Go ahead and sub out any paper ephemera that you love!  It will work the same either way.  Cover the paper on both sides with your contact paper.  Trapping the paper in between.  Basically laminating for us folks that don't have a laminator.
I left one side long.  When you roll your napkin rings, that will be what holds them together.  Cut the paper into strips and roll into a ring...using that extra sticky to secure.  Or if you did not leave any extra, a little tape or glue will do the trick.
Then cut a length of ribbon to fit around and secure with hot glue.  Yep that is it!
Gorgeousness for your Thanksgiving table in under 5 minutes!
Y'all be sure to stop by and see some of my other projects.  You don't want to miss my NO SEW Sweater Sleeve Pumpkins!
Many thanks to Allison for blog swappin with me today!  :)   Y'all stop on by the cottage, take your shoes off, and stay a while!
~Angie~

I love the napkin rings. I'm always drawn to things made from old books.

I like those napkin rings! I just gave my sister some place mats for her birthday and these would've been a great gift, too.
